EMMTEC services has set up and equipped a modern laboratory specifically for Stenden University of Applied Sciences. This ‘Real World Learning’ environment is an ideal tool for preparing students studying Life Sciences at the University for the practical challenges they will face in the future. They are given practical tuition there and work on ‘real life’ cases. Femke Tamminga, the team leader for this course, is extremely enthusiastic about the Stenden Lab: “Not only do the students have access to high-tech equipment, they also benefit from the instruction given by EMMTEC employees. They work on real assignments, in a real company and in a professional environment. That is a unique aspect of this course. Furthermore, this arrangement allows us to maintain close contact with the business community and makes us an interesting partner for other parties. EMMTEC also benefits significantly from this collaboration. It helps create a mixed culture within the company and often results in new ideas.
